SUMMARY OF THE DOCUMENTARY BLACK CHRISTMAS Nkam Fritz, a native of South-West Cameroon, takes refuge in Bonabéri, a cosmopolitan district of Douala. It is there that he tells the filmmakers about his journey. He has just narrowly escaped death in the town of Muyuka, which has become a secessionist bastion.
MOTHER FIGURES
Stevene Mofor, 21, and her family have been refugees in Dschang for almost four years because of the socio-political crisis in the North-West and South-West Regions of Cameroon. Their parents have always gone back to the crisis zone to ensure their survival. Stevene Mofor has to play the role of parents among his many brothers and sisters, cousins, sometimes under the maternal assistance of mother Lucienne Sonfack who took them in. The lack of food and the promiscuity in which they live do not seem to shake them.
